A drone attack has been carried out on an Israeli commercial ship or tanker in the Indian Ocean. The ship suffered a lot of damage. However, there were no casualties. AFP reported this news.
According to the report, Umbre, the United Maritimes Trade Operations and Maritime Security Agency of the British Army, said that the drone attack took place on Saturday (December 23).
The two agencies also said the Liberian-flagged vessel was carrying chemicals. Some of its structures were damaged by drone strikes. The ship is scheduled to go to India.
However, it is not yet known who carried out the attack. No group has yet claimed responsibility. Earlier last month, an Israeli cargo ship was similarly attacked by a drone in the Indian Ocean.
It is suspected that Iran was behind the attack. Meanwhile, drone and missile attacks are also being carried out in the Red Sea. In the past few weeks, several Israeli ships have been attacked by Yemen’s Houthi rebel group.
Houthi said that these attacks are being carried out in response to the aggression of Palestine in Gaza. At the same time, the leaders of the group have announced to continue the attack.
